Hi, everyone. Chris Surridge here again, director at Whitefish Marketing. And welcome to another one of our Whitefish Wednesday videos. Today, we’re going to be talking a little bit more about localized SEO, but specifically about localized SEO on your on-page content and how to optimize it through your on-page content. So behind me here on the whiteboard, we got seven little pointers. I’m just going to go quickly blast through them all. And it’ll just be a quick video.

1 – Having multiple office locations

So the first one of all was if you’ve got multiple locations or multiple offices, make sure that your web structure is tailored to go ahead and suit those. So for example, having as yourwebsite.com/town-1 or office-1, your website.com/town or office 2, for example. That there is a good way to go ahead and tailor your web structure for your localized optimization. Don’t try and have it too long. Don’t have it as offices/town/location-1. Try to keep it short, try to keep it concise, and do have the location keyword there in the URL. And try to keep it consistent as well.

2- Optimise SEO meta data

Second thing, optimize all the usual things. Your title tags, your metadata, your meta descriptions your headers, your header ones, your header two, your header three, and the content itself. Make sure you add in localized content. So again, if you’re talking about localized services within a particular area, you should naturally be adding in your localized keyword there within the body, within the header tags, and then within the SEO metadata as well.

3 – Display NAP properly

Talked about this before on another video, we’re talking about N.A.P., which stands for name, address, and phone number. But yeah, if you’re going to go ahead and create a localized SEO page, do try and display your N.A.P., your name, address, and phone number, somewhere on the page. That there is another citation slap, as Google might call it, or as we call it, anyway. And try to include your name, address, and phone number in schema format as well within this page. I won’t go into schema formats for this particular video. You can research that and look it up yourself. But with schema formatting, you can go ahead and display your N.A.P. in a schema format for the particular page.

4 – Embed your Google Map

Number four, embed a Google Map. Not only does Google like that as well, but also shows to the customers exactly where you are. It’s clear, it’s concise. They look it up and they can be familiar with the location within two seconds. So do go ahead and embed a Google Map.

5 – Use Call To Actions

Make it convert. Think about your call to actions. Make sure that you got strong call to actions. Whilst you’re still looking at all about the localized activity there, don’t forget about the last bit, which is the conversion of it as well. Someone’s coming here to this particular page, probably because it’s your office page, for example, and you want them to convert at the end. So make sure there is a strong call to action there for them to call your office.

6 – Utilise Reviews and Testimonials

Reviews and testimonials. I’ve got another video here where we talk about reviews can have 87%, 87% of people trust reviews. And having reviews on your sales page can actually improve conversion rates as much as 18%. So do add in reviews and testimonials. Testimonials are a great form of social proof and social trust factor. Again, we’ve got another video on one of our Whitefish Marketing videos where we talk about the buildup of a landing page and how to use testimonials. So again, have a look at that video if you haven’t come across it yet.

7 – Is it Mobile Friendly?

And lastly, not one that I really should be saying, but make sure your whole of your page is mobile-friendly, especially for localized SEO where people are probably coming to that page for directions or to get hold of your address because they might be travelling to your offices that day. So subsequently, make sure that your localized pages are all mobile-friendly. Your whole site should be mobile-friendly in light of Mobilegeddon, which was back in 2015. But you want to make sure that this particular page are mobile-friendly.

It’s as simple as that really. Seven little points there about localized SEO on-page optimization. Any other questions at all, just drop us a line at hello@whitefishmarketing.co.uk. Failing that, we’ll see you on another one of our Whitefish Wednesday videos. Thank you very much. Take care.
