Discovery

We first run a thorough check on your site, gathering information on your set up, including domain and email setup. We then plan according to what we find, and advise if there may be any technical issues and a solution to move forward.

Data Export

We then export all of your data - content, images, sitemaps, analytics tags. Everything and anything that we can pull over. We also take a copy of all DNS information from your domain and back it up should we need to refer to it in the future. If the platform allows, we take a full zipped backup.

Staging Site

With all of your data exported, we then build your new WordPress site on our staging platform. This allows us to complete the site build without causing any down time to your current live website.

Inspection

With the staging site completed, the site goes through rigorous cross-device and cross-browser testing and content checks, followed by a full review with the client.

Go-Live

With the staging site signed off, we proceed with Go-Live. This often involves setting up on a new hosting environment with domain DNS changes made after midnight to avoid downtime during busy hours. The site will be fully live by 6am the following morning. Further tests and checks are then performed before the site is handed over to the client.

Yes! In most cases, we can create a pixel-perfect replication of your site if requested. To the end user, it will be as if nothing has changed whilst you will now have more control over your site's content with the power of WordPress.

Absolutely! We can generally copy these over as-is, though in some cases we do prefer to rebuild these from scratch to be more efficient.

Yes! If you are self-hosting your new website, your emails will continue to work as normal. If you wish to host your website with us, you can still keep your original emails running on your original hosting provider and we can add some DNS records to keep emails working as intended. Alternatively, we can assist with migrating emails elsewhere, such as with Exchange Online or Google Workspace.

Of course! We specifically partner with WordPress thanks to it's ease of use. You will be provided with your own login with optional training on how to access, edit, and even create new content on your site.

Yes! We can provide your developer with access to your site's control panel where they can manage your domain's DNS, access file manager, set up FTP and more.

No, your site will not be affected. We will carefully inspect everything from your sitemap to metadata and ensure anything relevant is copied over, and with any changes to URL's, that the appropriate 301's are added in. We work closely with tools such as Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster to ensure everything is kept running smoothly.
