Whitefish Marketing assist local Canterbury developers with web design
“Whitefish Marketing were commissioned to produce a website for our hotel and mixed use development, which given the profile and importance of the intended scheme, it was important that it represented our organisation well, portrayed our intent accurately & professional and overall was user friendly. We are delighted with the results they have produced, particularly given the tight timeframes and our high demands”

Slatters Development is a property development company. This particular project involves the re-development and conservation of a historic hotel building, to be transformed into a new commercial complex benefiting the local Canterbury community. Our role, at Whitefish Marketing, was to facilitate the website design to act as a mechanism to increase public awareness of the project.
The brief was to design a basic "information-orientated" website, to act more like an online brochure to depict the upcoming changes and plans for redevelopment in the local areas. This website was built primary as a tool to increase public awareness of the project activity.
Online digital marketing activities took a back seat on this project, with more focus on the user engagement, and the importance to delivery key information in a simple and digestible manner. Our efforts focused on
- Responsive design functionality for use on multiple devices
- Simple visual effects, such as lightbox galleries and banner sliders
- Simplicity in deliver of information
Overall, the delivery was quick and efficient. The website launch tied in closely with the Developer's first major public consultation (as planned), and it received highly positive reactions from various stakeholders of the project. The functionality of the site, allows for expansion as the project grows towards completion, with full CMS control retained by the client, or managed by Whitefish Marketing.
